William Duckworth (1943-2012) was a composer, performer, author, and teacher, credited with creating the genre, Postminimalism. A North Carolina native and student of Ben Johnston, he graduated from the University of Illinois in 1971 and taught at Bucknell University from 1973 to 2011.
